Itasca Retail provides a comprehensive CGO overview and employee training program designed to motivate and support change management.
We teach success, and instruction is designed to quickly instill user confidence and trust in the Magic™ software and its results for employees throughout the store. Some common procedures will change when the software is implemented.
You can expect to find some or all of these elements in your project:
Online instructional course is tailored for both Magic™ end users and other store employees that perform tasks that impact Magic™.
The overview session is a 20-minute block that is interactive, ending with a certification quiz. It introduces CGO concepts and outlines what’s ahead for workers.
It uses visuals and includes a description of what will be covered in the larger training program.
Our training program is designed to train the retailer’s trainers using Train-the-Trainer sessions. This prepares the retailer’s team to conduct training for end-users utilizing the comprehensive training program materials.
Classroom instruction is conducted in small groups to accommodate scheduling. It is hands-on by design, and offers demonstrations, activities using laptops and handhelds to perform Magic tasks, built-in free time to explore the system individually, and quizzes to assess learning and debrief the session.
Students use laptops and handheld devices to actually perform the tasks.
These are hands-on sessions conducted on the selling floor in stores and departments as they are rolled out.
We utilize a Train-the-Trainer model here as well. Itasca’s training and implementation experts train-the-trainers in the first round.
This empowers your organization with the ongoing ability to train new trainers and new employees.
- During this phase, trainers verify that trainees can perform the tasks necessary in Magic. This can be accomplished with taining materials to assist the trainees as necessary.
- The design of the program includes encouragement to use the training materials available. We teach not only on the functions, but on how to use the materials. By doing this, we set up trainees to be more independent when working alone, which will ultimately free up your team’s time by not having to answer the questions that are covered in the materials.
- Once trainers have verified the trainees’ ability on tasks necessary to perform their jobs, they check off the OJT Certification Checklists, and both the trainer and trainee signs-off on that Magic function learned.
- These OJT Certification Checklists can be used for tracking purposes and filed by the store for future reference.
